Organized kitchen drawer

Easy Kitchen Drawer Organization (Before and After)

Do you have a kitchen drawer turned into a junk drawer and became cluttered overtime?

You may start to think they are a normal part of your home fixture.

Though, they are just in fact, one of those untended areas of your home that you just could not be bothered to attend to at the moment.

Don’t you worry, you are not the only one!

I had mine at some point.

It’s that project that is always on my TO-DO-LIST but for some reason, it’s always buried in that growing pile list.

The truth is I cringed every time I opened them.

Then I came to realize, it’s about time!

They may be hidden but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve my tender loving care.

To be honest, since I paid attention to them, our ways of using them changed.

I noticed our day to day efficiency in the kitchen started to improve.  And the household, including the kids, started to appreciate how easy they can locate kitchen utensils that often took ages to find in those messy drawers.

If you are looking to simplify your messy kitchen stash, below are simple steps you can follow to achieve your easy kitchen drawer organization without breaking the bank.

Decluttering and Organizing Steps:

1. Empty and clean the drawers.

2. Dispose of the items you don’t use.

3. Categorize the remaining items with respect to the available space.

4. Identify the size and style of the tubs/bins and dividers to use.

NOTE: Don’t forget you can recycle if you have a readily available container that will suit your needs. Just make sure they suit the space and they are sturdy enough to do the work.

5. Once the bins and dividers are available, position them and organize the items in their new homes.

6. (Optional) Label the tubs or drawers if required or desired.

Ann of Hometiculous

I am a busy mummy to 2 and a wifey to one. I am very careful when it comes to the needs of my family and home. I am particularly lazy to look for things and thoroughly crazy to do everything that’s why I am thankful for organizing. I am a certified meticulous when it comes to anything that involves effort, time, and money at home and beyond our home. In my spare time (if I am lucky), I engrossed myself reading, experimenting in the kitchen, exploring my tiny little garden, learning and saving from DIYs.
